Early care and education scholarships

T.E.A.C.H. - Early Childhood Ohio
T.E.A.C.H. is a unique workforce development program designed to address the key issues of teacher retention, education and compensation. With scholarship assistance and related educational experiences, teachers in licensed centers and certified family child care home providers can pursue an associate's degree in early childhood education. Step Up To Quality - Ohio's Voluntary Quality
Rating System for Licensed Child Care Centers
Licensed child care centers in pilot counties of Athens, Hocking and Perry in Appalachian Ohio are eligible to participate in a scholarship program that offers either an associate's degree in early childhood or a Child Development Associate credential. Participating centers work toward a quality rating of one to three stars, based on a standard system of quality criteria. COAD David Stivison Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to assist young people in Appalachian Ohio gain access to college. Applications are submitted to local community action agencies and the process is competitive. For more information visit COAD Scholarships.

NAEYC Scholarships for Early Childhood Educators
The National Association for the Education of Young Children, a professional association of individuals in the early care and education field, offers scholarships. For more information go to www.naeyc.org.

For Washington County Providers: The Walter J. and
Marjorie G. McCarthy Child Care Enrichment Fund

The fund provides a scholarship for families using child care and for providers who work toward a college degree in early childhood education. This scholarship is awarded at least annually and is administered through the Marietta Community Foundation. It can be used for tuition and/or course materials at an accredited Ohio college or university. For more information call 800-577-2276 or email us.
